"Hard Candy" is going to be amazing.
MAJOR buzz at Sundance.
Patrick Wilson and Ellen Page are supposed to give incredible performances in this cat-n-mouse psycho-thriller.

I hear yea. My wallet is going to be very empty by the time January rolls around.
Edit: Oy! Beacon! I completely forgot Hard Candy. When's it coming out? Is there a trailer for it yet?

Don't forget about The Libertine, a film in which Jonny Depp plays the Earl of Rochester. I believe it played Toronto a year ago and was held back because of the Disney/Miramax split.
I saw the preview for Everything is Illuminated and I'm really excited, as well as for The Squid and the Whale (october release I think?) and Romance and Cigarettes which is probably coming out in December.
Anyone else shocked at how good King Kong looks? I was totally skeptical until I saw the trailer.
so this thread reminded me...
i work at media play... you know, like a borders/virgin megastore-type thing... music, movies, books, video games, etc. well we usually have the big displays to hold new releases tha come out on dvd, or advertise for a dvd thats coming out. i walk into the backroom and see this HUGE wardrobe... like, big enough to walk through, advertising for lion, the witch, and the wardrobe. i think they made a mistake and were SUPPOSED to send it to a movie theater.
ok, it's really funny. guess you have to see it.
Hooray for movie-hopping! It'll definitely be a busy fall at the movies.
Oooh YES! Libertine. Definately want to see that.
Hey Zep, you want to steal that Wardrobe and give it to me? You know you do!

The Fountain! Which doesn't have a release date and could very well come out in winter, but whatever. Me and the six other people who are looking forward to this one will be there when it comes. :)
Did anyone else find the costuming of Elijah Woods' Jonathan in the Everything is Illuminated trailer to be troubling? And what was with that "collector" business? On the other hand, Alex, his grandfather, and Sammy Davis Jr., Jr. the seeing eye bitch looked great. I'm really looking forward to that movie- Schreiber looks to have a real sense of visual style, which is nice from a first-time director coming from an acting background.
ummm eponine... i could try my best... i mean, its not like i would be noticed or anything... only like, 6 of me could fit in it if there wasn't a picture inside... but it's ok... i'll get it out with no prob... yeah
yeah I'm definately looking foward to The Libertine, from what I've heard, Johnny Depp is beyond belief in this role.
But I'm also really looking foward to the New World, but only really because we all get to look at Colin Farrell and Christian Bale in the same movie...
True that, Torch.

All right! Two actors whose sex appeal totally escapes me! Sounds fun.

Yup, I saw Batman Begins and failed to be blown away. Nice body, but any number of gym-going guys have that.
yeah I know... once i see a picture of that i need to go watch American Psycho, but then I get all creeped out unfortunately
*edit* Plum, alright, that just means more for me.... as if you're the only thing standing between Christian bale and me

*shrug* Attraction is totally subjective. I'm not putting down your taste or anything. More room for you at his movies, then. :)
Anyway, I'm quite disappointed that V for Vendetta had to be moved back. It had the perfect release date for a movie whose protagonist wears a Guy Fawkes mask, and now it has to come out in...March? Oh, well. Better to get the effects right than to rush things.

Th trailer for KING KONG looks amazing.
WALK THE LINE, with Joaquin Phoenix as young Johnny Cash, also looks promising. He does all his own singing, unlike Jamie Foxx.

I'm going to be so broke this fall! I'm most looking forward to RENT(!!!!), Walk the Line, Proof, and the Producers! I'm sure others will come up that I will also want to see but that's what I'm most anticipating right now!:)
Fine Zep. Just one day you'll walk into work, and the Wardrobe will be GONE! Bawahahahha!
Mmmm Christian Bale...It funny how he's suddenly become so popular. I've been a fan of his for a long time. Long before Batman came out.
I've been in love with Christian Bale since I saw him in Newsies when I was seven! LOL it's so funny how now he's this MOVIE STAR...Anyway, I definetely have to limit my MUST sees, so I think i'll be catching:
RENT
The New World
Narnia
Oliver Twist
Those are the ones that grabbed me the most! I can't wait.
COUGHStay is supposed to be coming out this fallCOUGH
I'm so excited for KING KONG. SO SO SOSOOOOO excited.
