Mamie - thanks, as always.
It would take forever to comment on all of them - too many thoughts and emotions - but the list is glorious, as usual.
I must comment, however, on the Margaret Hamilton photo you found. When you listed her previously, you used that fabulous pic of her with the little dog - which was perfect and priceless. But I REALLY like this one! Despite her association with her brilliant incarnation of the Wicked Witch, she was known to be one of the kindest people in the industry. This pic absolutely captures that essence.

Posted: 12/2/06 at 3:26pmThank you, DG. I love it too. She reminds me so much of a favorite Aunt. She had no children of her own and she more or less 'adopted' my sister and I and spoiled us rotten. I can't spend a Christmas without her spirit standing over my shoulder. (She was a champion Christmas cookie baker!) This photo of Miss Maggie brings her right back!

Cturtle, I'm so glad you liked Fedora! (Another film we have "in common"! Did you know that Truffaut really liked it, too?)

Mamie---I say let the passing angels be "looked up." The BWWers are on the Internet already, and it's easily done.
For the posters out there who don't know who so-and-so is... Google away, and you'll find out. If you're intrigued by a photo, that should be enough to inspire you to point and click.
Why not let these lovely "angels" be discovered?... just as they were by so many of us years ago... with NO Internet around!

Posted: 12/3/06 at 10:27amI might be adding some of the male angels, OK? Someone told me that it was silly because everyone knew there were no male angels. Of course if you check the bible you'll see that there are ONLY male angels and no females! Michael, Gabriel, Raphael...) Sadly there are WAY too many to include them all so I'll have to limit it to just a few.
