Some of the wonderfully talented ladies and gentlemen of the past who all celebrated their birthdays in February. They're gone - but their contributions to the entertainment world will make them live forever in our hearts and our memories:

My cat, Mr. Howl, is curled up right next to me, waiting for me to come to bed.
And Lovey is meowing in the bedroom.
Kids...
Thank you, Mamie. I'm a February baby--the 28th--and I forgot that Zero Mostel and I share a birthday. Also Vincente Minnelli and Bernadette Peters and Tommy Tune.
And this year is a leap year!

Wow Mr Mooney was really kinda hot when he was young!
LOL - I couldn't resist using that picture. He was 19 in that pic.
It is a great picture! It is hard to see the character we all know and love in that face!
Almost every picture of Gale Gordon I've seen shows his left eyebrow arched. That's the main difference. (Also it needs a mustache!)
Yes the arched eyebrow, 'stache and the receding hair line. I can see it now with the side by side.
You have an incredible library of pictures thanks for sharing them!
Thank you Mamie for all of your hard work. I never heard of Andrea King. She was really beautiful.

Thanks Mom. Best12bars brought Andrea King to my attention after last year's post. She was an actress at Warner Brothers and a very good friend of Besty's. He keeps a web site in her honor and I got that beautiful photo from his site. (I hope he doesn't mind too much!)

Great as always.
Thank you Mamie.
The Passing Angels thread are my absolute favorites!
Mamie, I don't mind at all! What a lovely way to stumble onto an old friend. Thank you for remembering her in your February tribute.
I've been thinking a lot about Andrea lately, because she would have been 89 last Friday. I miss her friendship, her wisdom and her humor terribly. And on Saturday, I met with "Diva" in between his shows at the Pantages, and we walked right past her star on the Walk of Fame. I hadn't seen it in years, and I pointed it out to him.
Then, to find your tribute today... It made me smile a lot.
I can't ask for more than that!
What about Karen Carpenter?
I thought her birthday was March 2.
But didn't she die today?
OH! I never realized that we were celebrating birthdays.
Yeah. I'm not entirely sure why but I've always been irritated by people who memorialize the deaths of others. I believe in celebrating their lives - not their deaths. Thus - the angels birthday thread!
