Some of the wonderfully talented ladies of the past who all celebrated their birthdays in June. They're gone - but their contributions to the entertainment world will make them live forever in our hearts and our memories:

Once again you've pulled together some wonderful pictures. The picture of Marilyn Monroe is great--so simple.

Thanks, Mamie!
What a stunningly fresh photo of Marilyn. And I don't think I've ever seen Mary Wickes at such a young age.
What beautiful women born in June.
Gilda and me share the same birthday...I guess those born on that day love to make people laugh.
I've been waiting all morning for this, my favorite thread!
I've never been a huge Marilyn Monroe fan, but that picture of her is just radiant. And boy, do I ever miss Gilda Radner.
Judy, Gilda, Colleen... *sigh*
I share a birthday with Marilyn Monroe?!
Happy Birthday DQ !!!

So many of my favorites.
But I simply must single out Judy.
Yes, I'm an older gay man. Sue me.
Thanks, Mamie, for giving us the usual loving attention to those who have mattered.
Thank you all.
I really love that pic of Marilyn. I've had it for a long time and was just saving it for this day. That poor girl had such a terrible inferiority complex. She was so sure that people could only see her as a sex object and never as a human being. (I think Joe D. was a definite exception to that rule.) When I saw this picture I saw all the 'sex goddess' wiped away and just the beautiful lady left. I think she really does look like an angel there.
A bit odd, I know, but I am a HUGE Mildred Natwick fan.
Don't stereotype yourself, DG, Judy is at the top of my list too.
Not odd at all. She was a wonderful actress and I always looked forward to seeing her in any film she made.
Sadly there weren't too many photos of her to go through for this post. In fact, quite of few of the one's you see in these posts were pulled out of old copies of "Theatre World". Very, VERY tiny photos blown up even a little will come out looking rather blurry. (Jessica Tandy is a good example).

One of my favorite photographs ever - of two of my favorite people ever.
The scene in COCOON where he gives her his life-force so that she might live is one of the most breathtaking depictions of love I've ever seen on film.
And she would definitely be worth the sacrifice.
DG..I was very lucky to see both of them on B'Way.
I got to choreograph dances and movement for their daughter Tandy last year for an original production at Victory Gardens Theatre. What a delight.
And thanks Scout!
Jessica's best photos were with Hume. (Who knew she had legs? LOL. This from "Bedtime Story", 1959)
Thanks for remembering to include Paulette Goddard. One of my favorites, and one who is very often tossed aside.
She was a lovely lady.
Of course my personal favorite was redhead Susan Hayward. I was a homely little red haired kid who dreamed of growing up to look like Susan Hayward.
No.... it didn't happen. LOL.
You should try to see "Forest Rangers" with Susan and Paulette tangling over Fred MacMurray (yeah, I know...it's only Fred). Susan's hair was flaming red in the rechnicolor film!
Bumpin for the beauties.
I never knew that Roz was a Gemini.
Bump!
