There's gotta be something on my pasta. I adore it, but plain just doesn't work for me.

Me neither. It's worse than plain white rice.
I was shocked when I went to Italy and found out Alfredo is actually an American creation without an authentic Italian counterpart - but then I was introduced to Carbonara, and everything was right in the world!

I usually like something on it, but sometimes I do have that craving for just plain salted pasta.
I <3 pasta salad with grilled vegetables, sundried tomatoes and chicken.

The same way people did not like Lestat
Seriously, it is so versatile & tasteful I am stumped as to how people do not like it. Than again many people like Sushi & i cannot bring myself to eat it

I have a friend who refuses to eat pasta after Janet Jackson said on (I think) Late Night with Conan O'Brien, that pasta sticks to the colon.

If you think about it nothing is good for you. Since when did Ms Jackson graduate from medical school . I guarantee pasta is probably not the only thing that sticks to your colon
I refuse to start eating leaves & tree bark as they do not taste good with red sauce & grated cheese. Besides, what wine goes with the above?

I don't think it's so much that Janet Jackson said it, my friend isn't a fan, but the image of pasta sticking to her colon really grossed her out. Eh, her loss. I will eat pasta forever.

Not a huge fan, but Carbonara. My favorite. And I don't seem to find it at restaurants very often.

Mr. Roxy, if you're ever in Seattle, visit West5 in West Seattle. Their mac'n cheese is excellent.

I was out there in 86 for Expo 86 in Vancouver & a year later for a theater tour of theaters in the Pacific Northwest. Doubt will ever get out there but I have learned never say never
Seattle is great. I was sorry when I heard the Music hall went down. We were in it before they tore it down
