Posted: 4/11/04 at 10:51pmDid anyone see the Patriot tonight on CBS? It is an amazing movie. Everytime I see it I cry. The patriotism and the desie for freedom is so overwhelming, it is hard not to be prideful about our country. What do you guys think of this movie?

Being a Brit myself I must say that the Britsh were misrepresented. However I also realize that to make movies you have to have a bad guy and I'm willing to overlook it becasue it is such an awsome movie.
AHHH! AND IT HAS HEATH LEDGER!!! Oh God I'm going to buy it. He's soooo hot.

Posted: 4/13/04 at 7:39amI saw it a long time ago. I don't remember much...just that it was melodramatic and I hated it.

Posted: 4/14/04 at 8:16pmi liked it too, and i do see what you mean nyustud, sometimes it is very difficult for me to have pride in our country now, but when reminded of what ideals it was originated on (or on what we are told it was originated on- which maked pride even more difficult) i get a little bit of that patriotism back, you know? i dont know, usually i tend to be kind of cynical about these things, (for my age anyway) im glad to realize that i can still be remotly idealistic about the "good ol' usa's" history.

"gee, iflit, that was rather measured"
Can't *always* be witty or profound. Sometimes one has to slide by with the predictable.
