Well - being one of the only Patriots fans in Brooklyn cheering tonight, I am proud to say we pulled through and made a perfect season! Apologies to the Jets or Giants fans (the true New Yorkers?) but I am happy that the Patriots pulled through!
There is a lot of cheering and fireworks going off in my area.
Woo Hoo!!!!!!! Congrats Patriots
I am the only person in my area who likes the Patriots; everyone else around here is a Bears fan. My family is celebrating tonight!
I feel it's a good time to pay tribute to another team's achievement:

Why would you wish serious physical harm on a talented athlete?
Go Pats! Wooo!
But seriously, after they won I heard fireworks. But being stupid and easily startled me, I thought they were gunshots. So I kept on screaming. My friend had to calm me down.

Indeed, DG, indeed.
somehow a 16-0 season without cheating would have meant more.......hopefully they'll lose in the playoffs
in any other sport the Patriots would not be viewed as undefeated because they cheated and I will always view them as 15-1 (at least)... even if nobody else recognizes the fact that they don't deserve to be called undefeated...
Figures the haters would crawl out of the woodwork -- or the boards, as it were.
Torch, it's been stated that the game where the Pats were caught "spying" was done very early in the game and it didn't affect the outcome of the game. Besides, the Jets suck anyway and Mangini has a big chip on both his shoulders, not to mention he's a chip off the old block.
Every NFL team videotapes other teams (or at least watches tapes). It is ridiculous to accuse the Pats of not deserving their 16-0 record for a "crime" that every team commits.
The argument that everyone else does it doesn't make it right. The NFL said they were going to crack down and Bill Belichick didn't listen. The sad part was he didn't even need to cheat to win that game. That said, I hate the Pats! Go Colts!
I don't consider studying another team to be cheating. It is smart: "Know thine enemy". That said, yes, they did start cracking down, but the media (and everyone else) never mentions that all teams did it (and probably still do it).
go pats! ^_^
sure its fine if studying other teams is strategy, but if its against the rules it is CHEATING... again, in ANY other sport the win against the Jets would not stand. IMO, the NFL is making a bad call by not enforcing one of its own rules... if filming signals doesn't matter then why follow the salary cap or draft regulations? The rules of football aren't categorized by importance- rules are rules.
And if indeed every team does it (which i know is true) why doesn't the NFL just get rid of the rule to begin with?
Figures you'd be a horse's ass, gunn!
