Too bad, Joe, because she's really quite good in some episodes. Especially the one where she admits that despite her feminist principles, she misses being home with her child.
(This isn't an argument against working women from me or from the show itself. The story just acknowledges the difficulty of "doing it all" and sympathizes with women who try or have to try.)
My husband feels the same way as you do and only liked her in EVITA because she played Eva Peron as if she, herself (i.e., Patti Lupone) were wife to the president of Argentina.
But my earliest memories of her are of her acting in shows like WORKING. I learned to like her singing much later.
