Peanuts

Okay, I'm really bored. Who is your favorite Peanut?

Snoopy
Charlie Brown
Linus
Schroeder
Woodstock
Sally
Lucy
Peppermint Patty
Pigpen

re: Peanuts

Linus. I love the combination of intelligence and the fact that he can always be the voice reason among the others yet, there is the insecurity and fear that causes him to hang on to that blanket.

I also like Schroeder's representation of the intense artist who throws himself so deeply into his art as a means to avoid ineteraction.

Have I over analyized the characters?

re: Peanuts

As a fellow pianist, Schroeder always had a special place in my heart.

And Nina, I think you're spot on.

re: Peanuts

Honey Roasted... I keep a 40 oz jar of them on my desk. MMM. Does anyone know where I can get unsalted honey roasted peanuts though?

If I had to pick a favorite it would be Woodstock because he's the quiet best bud and reminds me of my roomate. I'm the Snoopy to his Woodstock.

I do a mean rendition of the song Snoopy from YAGMCB. re: Peanuts Well at least I like to think so...
My avatar is a reminder to myself. I need lots of reminders...

re: Peanuts

Linus Van Pelt.

I've alway loved Linus.
I used to have a Linus T-shirt that I gave my ex. When I broke up with him, he threw the T-shirt away. Damn him!
"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

re: Peanuts

I have to agree with Linus for my first choice - he gives that amazing reading of scriptures in the Christmas show, describing what the holiday is truly about - standing there alone on stage in that spotlight - I cry each and every time I hear him say those words.
"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

re: Peanuts

Sally and Linus!

I am dying to play Sally one day!
It started with a sipmle idea, collecting one paper clip for every life lost, the feelings that connect us...are greater than those that divide us!

re: Peanuts

Linus is my favorite...but I LOVE Rerun.
"Applause begets applause in the theatre, as laughter begets laughter and tears beget tears." CLAYTON HAMILTON, "Theory of the Theatre" "I think theater ought to be theatrical ... you know, shuffling the pack in different ways so that it's -- there's always some kind of ambush involved in the experience. You're being ambushed by an unexpected word, or by an elephant falling out of the cupboard, whatever it is." TOM STOPPARD

re: Peanuts

I always liked Patty for calling Charlie Brown "Chuck".

re: Peanuts

I like Peppermint Patty because she doesn't know she's a lesbian yet, but I do!

re: Peanuts

Franklin. He always seemed so cool. And he dances great.
Will: They don't give out awards for helping people be gay... unless you count the Tonys. "I guarantee that we'll have tough times. I guarantee that at some point one or both of us will want to get out. But I also guarantee that if I don't ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for the rest of my life..."

re: Peanuts

Well, I have to say my little brother, Linus. What more can you say about a kid with a security blanket who can also quote philosophers?

And, of course, when Schroeder and I are married, I will only have eyes for him. I just wish he would pay attention to me occasionally, instead of that stupid Beethoven.

If you are looking for a great overview of the Peanuts strip I recommend "Peanuts: A Golden Celebration" - the art and story of this comic strip.

re: Peanuts

Lucy... she's crazy... she reminds me of my sister, and also of this other girl i used to go to school with who looked just like her...
#17

re: Peanuts

What do you mean that I'm crazy? I'm only here to provide psychiatric help. That'll be five cents, please.
