Performance Studios in NYC
Performance Studios in NYC#1

Does anyone know of any good performance studios in the city? We have a few 2 hours from where I live. I'd like to sign up for one while I'm in college if time permits, or during the summer. So I have my voice, acting, and dance all in one convinient enviornment.
Also, are there resources for actors to find acting coaches, dance teacher, voice teachers, etc. in the city? Personally, that's what I'm most worried about. After I graduate college, or during the summer I don't want to just quit taking lessons.
Thanks so much! This has REALLY been bugging me.

Broadway Dance Center has amazing dance classes & teachers,
NYU - Cap 21 musical theater has an amazing 6 week summer program with dance, singing & acting training taught by broadway professionals as well as Marymount which also has a 4 or 6 week? summer program..and at the end of that one, you perform an off broadway showcase with songs by new composers.
HB Studios has many classes in acting in singing.
The only problem with all of these is they all cost A LOT... Broadway dance isn't the worst in price.. a 10 class card is $140 but Cap & marymount will cost you $3100-$4000

i did the marymount intensive and it was AMAZING. I did it the first year and we got to perform at a benefit for Carol Channing, did a showcase at the york theater company where we spent a lot of time with the artistic director and got to work a great director and musical director who work in the city constantly. It was $1500 when i did it, but i got a scholarship so it was free which was nice. Its probably around $2500 now and you would need to pay for housing but if you have the money to do it, i HIGHLY suggest the marymount one!
The best way to find acting and vocal coaches is word of mouth... using your friends in NYC to get you in with their voice teacher etc. thats how i got mine and i couldn't be happier... and sometimes if you are referred its cheaper!
Good luck.

Bump?
I really am trying to research my options for life after high school, and want to feel safe that I'm going to be able to find a voice teacher, dance teacher, acting coach, studio, etc. and what not once I move on to the Big Apple (and lucky for me, my research sucks so far). So any help in finding them is GREATLY appreciated.
