Okay, not as fun as it sounds...

My sweet husband gave me an ipad2 for Christmas, and we were away on a cruise. It isnt 3G, so I couldnt use it until we got to Ft. Lauderdale airport on the 28th, and I fell in love... with it. Soon after returning, sometime over this past weekend, it became posessed! Some phantom takes over the email, app, safari and now even my book! Key strokes, zooming in and out, even closing what I'm doing.

Anyway, I plan on bringing it back as I understand it's a common problem. Has anyone else had this trouble? How was it handled?

I've never had that problem but bring it back quickly before the warranty expires.

I had that problem on my PC once. Turned out to be a problem with my mouse. But it does make you really paranoid.

Wowzers! I mean Zoinks!

I just got back from the Apple store on 58th. What a ZOO! I am not a germaphobe, but all of those people slobbering over all of those screens was so gross.

Anyway, a nice clerk who tried to push me into the "diagnosis" queue let me know that they're honoring returns until Jan. 9. After telling him that I wanted an exchange he said that it'd be no problem if I had the box...so I guess I'll go back tomorrow.

Apparently on a blog I read, this thing happens enough that some people have had to exchange a few before getting an exorcised ipad.

I've never had an Apple product (iPhone or iPad) that didn't have to be returned or fixed within a year. Got an iPad last month through work and it's stuck in portrait mode.

Update! Since iwas within the time for easy exchanges, exchanged ipad yesterday, then went back and upgraded to 3g. Horrible layout in cps store, but had great customer service. Especially considering the mass of people, mostly just there as lookeyloos, making their jobs so annoying.

Unfortunately, noone had heard about this particular problem, though I only really dealt with sales staff. supposedly, if I have this prob again, I,ll have to deal with the "genius bar". I'm afraid to use the magnetic cover!

Any suggestions, without jailbraking, on viewing flash?

See, I opened this thread thinking that doodle had just seen Phantom of the Opera for the first time and was so overcome with emotion that he lost control of his grammar.
