Oh man I cannot wait for Capote to open. Finally this great actor will get the recognition that he deserves! Even his appearance in Sawbones was classic.

Although I'm sure Capote will change that, his best performance thus far...for me...is certainly that of the disturbed loser in "Happiness". Try not to get chills during his introductory scene where he talks about the sick things he wants to do to a girl he likes. Very very underrated film.

And finally...

A biopic which is actually about AN INTERESTING SUBJECT rather than a classic rise-and-fall story. Cannot wait for Capote. Anyone else know when it opens wide?

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Phil! He was fabulous in Long Day's Journey into Night! Definitely deserves an Oscar. He's given many award-worthy supporting performances. I can't wait for Capote. I could have gotten free screening passes for tonight, but I had class. re: Phillip Seymour Hoffman

I'm rooting for this film for that reason - and also because it was written and directed by two school chums!

PSH is my favorite actor working today.

His ability to play eccentric characters and make them seem perfectly normal is stunning to me.

I really hope he gets nominated for an Academy Award for this picture.

He was on Charlie Rose tonight. Good interview. The clips they showed made me want to see it even more.

I liked him in The Seagull in Central Park.

He's a good director, too.

It should be fun to see him play this odd duck.

What a great actor, he can play so many characters.. I loved him in The Talented Mr Ripley and the other one where he plays the male nurse to the guy that was hospitalized. and Patch Adams.

I saw Capote Friday. I'm not sure who his competition will be, but Hoffman certainly deserves an Oscar for that performance. Simply amazing, he somehow captures Capote's effiminancy and flamboyance, yet manages to never overplay it. A mesmerizing and subtly effecive performance. Keener's terrific too as Harper Lee and the overall film is beautifully shot, tautly scripted and is riveting from beginning to end. One of the best films of the year -- go see it.
