Due to the overwhelming fun and excitement generated by our last get together, we're planning another one for the near future.
This time it's Yankees game on either a Friday evening or a Sunday afternoon.
If you're "game," please post here or send me a PM.
We'll try to get a group discount, if the size of participants warrant it.
Com'on, it'll be fun! Trapped together in Yankee Stadium.

Posted: 4/2/05 at 4:03pmAnother idea would be a Cyclones game @ Coney Island. For a fraction of the cost (Yankee ticket prices are out of sight)you get great baseball, a new ballpark, the chance to have Nathan's Hot Dogs & Fries & maybe ride the Cyclone

And a knowledge of baseball songs from musicals so you can pull out a song and dance number at the drop of a hat. Songs like What a Game-Ragtime, I thought About the Game-Damn Yankees, etc.

I can't imagine there's a ton of baseball fans here. I know there's some, but the postseason threads got almost no attention in the fall.
Anyway, I might come depending on when it is and who else is there. :)

Posted: 4/3/05 at 6:32pmNot sure why there's the stereotype of theater-goers not being into baseball, but you can count me tentatively in. You don't need to be a die-hard fan...it's just something that's nice to do. Oh and I'd be interested in seeing the Cyclone's park if that's an alternative too.

Chatting with people about everything, drinking, eating peanuts and cracker jacks, and just the atmosphere of almost 60,000 excited fans make it a great time and whether or not you like baseball, come join us!

Okay, munk. We get it. You hate stadiums, baseball, etc. Don't join in on this outing; go to the next one.
Madame X, I wasn't basing my statement on stereotype but on experience. Anytime there's a baseball thread here it's the same 5-7 users talking. If last year's postseason couldn't get people talking, I doubt there much baseball love going on here. Doesn't mean that people won't go- like liotte said, it'll be more about the socializing than anything else.
