Playwriting HELP!#0

Posted: 5/21/06 at 2:39pm

I'm currently in the process of beginning to write a murder mystery comedy. I've written two other plays which have been performed as well. I am in need of some help regarding characters. The play will have an "Addams Family/Munsters" feel to it, and I would like some help on some interesting characters. Some characters that I've already developed are:
-A human-sized bird that works as a mail carrier
-The stereotypical "normal" daughter
-The werewolf housekeeper
-The grandpa
-The motherly figure
I also need some characters that could somehow end up in the mix of things. Any input would be appreciated!

""I also need some characters that could somehow end up in the mix of things.""

What about someone like a delivery boy? Or the mailman or a pizza guy? That could work. re: Playwriting HELP!

Maybe you can help me with this. I need a name for a bird that suggests the type of bird it is, something creative. For example: Albert Ross (albatross). Anything would be great! Thanks!

It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story... AGATHA CHRISTIE, Life magazine, May 14, 1956
