Please tell me movietickets.com is lying

I was searching movietickets.com for information on Rent, and it is telling me that no theaters anywhere near me are playing it when it's released. Not in any of the 4 possible zip codes on completely opposite sides of Ohio where I might be that week. Can someone explain this madness to me? Please please please for the love of all things good tell me it's lying to me.

i dont know if its right or not. i just checked my zipcode and nothing is listed. then, just to make sure nothing was wrong with the site, i tried to type in a major citys zip code (90210, hehe, thats the only one i know off hand) and nothing is listed. myabe theres just no actual showtimes available yet?

Movietickets.com may only show theatres where they have their services.

Did you try www.fandango.com?

i just checked fandango. it just says no showtimes are available yet.

I've used movietickets.com before and it's worked before. I think the times just aren't known yet. I went to the websites for the theaters in my area after checking mt.com, and the only movie they have listed for that week is Harry Potter. Which makes me feel so much better. I was freaking out, but now I feel better. Thanks, everyone! :)

They probably aren't lying. Proof still hasn't come to any of the theaters up here by my school in the middle of nowhere.

Sony isn't releasing the showtimes for Rent nationwide until sometime next week. You can find it on their website for the exact date.

I'm pretty sure it's starting as a limited release. But where I am the whole "dillema" is kind of moot, so who knows.

I've checked several sites where I thought I could get tickets. None. I live between Indiana and Michigan, so I thought I would have a good shot. Nothing.

So I called one of the movie theaters near me, and asked if they were pre-selling tickets to RENT. There was silence and the woman was like "What?" RENT... the movie musical? Comes out on the 23rd? She replied with the fact that they haven't gotten any information for it.

If it's not playing near me... i might hurt someone.

Plum, the limited release idea was scrapped months ago and it's starting November 23rd everywhere.

Do any of the movie theatres in your area have their own websites that might tell something? The theatre I go to doesn't have showtimes on their website yet, but they do say the movie is opening here on 11/23, and this is a place certainly no more urbane or sophisticated than Ohio.
