Posted: 10/3/04 at 12:12pmAHHHHH! I'm really sensitive to poison ivy and somehow it got all over my wrists. The last few times I've had it, it got on my face causing my eyes to swell shut, so now my wrists are covered in band-aids and It looks like I cut myself. oh well, I'll just tell my friends that that's what happens when you listen to Assassins all weekend. They won't understand, but I'LL be laughing

RUN, don't walk to the store and buy a product called TecNu. It comes in a white bottle with green label and is sold in nearly all drug stores. Use it 3-4 times a day for the first couple of days (wash with cold water after you have applied it to the skin) and you will never have this problem again.
While you can't use it on your eyes and may have to seek other treatment when you get it near or in your eyelids...you can use it pretty much everywhere else. I used to be on Prednisone 3 times every summer for Poison Ivy that got out of control. Since discovering TecNu I have never been on it again.
Good luck

Posted: 10/4/04 at 7:43pmI thought this thread was going to be about the movie with Drew Barrymore and Alyssa Milano! Updated On: 10/4/04 at 07:43 PM

Yep, Morosco that's the stuff. Best on the market. IF you can't get it for some reason in your area, you can go to a hardware store or the tools section of Sears and get 'Goop' or any industrial hand cleaner with petroleum base...that works too though it smells pretty yucky.
Have a small patch now and started treating it with TecNu...it works like a charm.

"I loved that movie and it wasn't with Alyssa Milano it was with Sara Gilbert."
Sara Gilbert was in the first one but the main seductress character was Drew Barrymore. Alyssa Milano was in the sequel and Jamie Pressly was in the third part of the trilogy. I'm a big fan.
I thought this thread referred to the movies as well.

Woops! Sorry.
Never saw the other 2, I didn't expect them to be as good as the 1st.
Which was better Poison Ivy 2: Lily, or Poison Ivy 3: The New Seduction?

They're not. They're horrid.

Definitely Poison Ivy 2. Alyssa Milano is great, but the rest of the movie has more of a "made for video" feel than the original. Probably because it was indeed made made for video. The third one is like Godfather 3, it shouldn't have happened.
