This just makes me ill. I wonder what the hell would have happened if they had said "Happy Kwanza" :
"Four Jewish subway riders who wished other people "Happy Hanukkah" were pelted with anti-Semitic remarks before being beaten, police and prosecutors said. The incident was being investigated as a possible hate crime.
The four were on a train in lower Manhattan on Friday night, during the eight-day Jewish Festival of Lights, when they were approached by a group of 10 people who offered holiday greetings. The victims responded, "Happy Hanukkah," and then were assaulted by the larger group, police said Tuesday."

Imagine.
Ain't religion grand.
What the **** is wrong with people?
'I hate people who hate' --Madonna
The lack of tolerance in this world will never cease to amaze me.
About 2 weeks ago, I had several children in my one second grade class ask why we weren't singing any Christmas songs, because if we weren't doing Christmas songs their parents said they couldn't sing in our holiday concert. Up until this point we had only learned the Chanukah and winter songs they were singing. They also have a Christmas song, but they hadn't learned it yet. I was just shocked that any parent would be that close minded. (Although, nothing should shock me anymore!)
"Ain't religion grand."
Actually, I do believe religion is a great thing. It imo should read "Ain't PEOPLE grand."
And I know its an expression by someone you admire (Madonna) but she's committing the same hatred by 'hating' those people...
More evidence of the war on Christmas.
The radical jew agenda is clear. You will all burn in hell for this.
Tolerance in short supply on the board.
Well, that is apparently true on the NY Subway System.

The subways have been pretty safe but lately there have been a couple of weird incidents but at least we're not shooting people like Nebraska and Colorado.
Religion is pretty worthless.
It only serves to divide and discriminate.

and now Nevada
you know, I get what you are saying, Gypsy, but even Madonna was being tongue in cheek when she said that. I don't really need a lesson on this topic.
the point is I have ZERO tolerance or patience for people who hate someone based on their race, gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, sexual identity, weight, etc.
I don't give a **** how a person was raised. I don't care what their excuse is. when you become an adult, it's time to start taking responsibility. it's time to educate yourself or keep your damn bigoted thought or actions to yourself.
and don't give me the obvious reply that it makes me no better than them because I am better than them. I despise them for their unique actions that take away another person's rights and freedoms. they despise people for something they are born with or have a right to believe. Yes, the hateful have a right to their opinions, but they do not have the right to hurt another person with hateful words or worse--actions.
and i'm not saying eye for an eye, but I sure hell am not gonna turn the other cheek.
enough is enough in the muthaf***in year 2007.

As Sam Harris points out, "tolerance" is what allows the freak fundamentalists who blow things up to do their work, because "tolerance" prevents rationalists from saying out loud that there is no magic sky being controlling the universe and that people who subscribe to such beliefs are delusional. To say so would be "intolerant" and we mustn't have THAT. Right, Roxy?
Go lay an egg NAMO
You need help NAMO. I hope that was not to intolerant for you. I forgot only you can be intolerant of other views. No one else is allowed.
