I just thought I would provide an update of how Brian is doing; I wish I had better news to report. Brian had the surgery on Friday and there didn't appear to be much improvement. Today he was diagnosed with pancreatitis and a CT scan was performed to assess just how severe it is.

Thank you so much to all of you who have offered their prayers so far. I spoke with Brian's mom at the hospital today and I could see how tough this has been on her. As far as myself, I'm feeling pretty good if I can limit myself to 2 breakdowns a day. Mostly though, I'm worried about Brian. Even if they get all of this medical stuff figured out, his mental state is far from good. My friends and I are taking shifts to visit him at the hospital in the hopes of keeping his spirits up, but at this point there isn't too much we can do for him.

Hopefully my next update will contain better news. I'm going to try and see him once a day, so hopefully I'll have a better handle on the situation soon. Again--thanks, everyone.

I'm so sorry. Brian is in my prayers.

I just had my gall bladder removed last week and the surgery was no fun without many complications. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your boyfriend and his family.

It is wonderful to hear that this seems to be turning out OK in the end - they don't always.
