I hope that these little brats are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law! And I hope the victim collects big on this.
WTF is this crap that anyone who stands up for gay rights is accused of trying to "impose their views"? It looks to me like the bigots are trying to impose THEIR views on US!

Since corporal punishment is no longer an option (and in this case fully justified)they need to be expelled, prosecuted as adults (so their names are released to the press), and (if convicted) jailed.

It really makes me sad that young people are still to bigoted and ignorant. Poeple still have such messed up ideas of sex/sexuality , its ridiculous. These kids need to be identified and jailed.

I wouldn't say jail is an option...

But certainly a strong message against it is needed.

I feel extremely sorry for the girl, and I hope that thoeperpetrators are punished severely. As well as those who stood by watching, without helping...

Whats sad is SO MANY stories like this don't even make it in the media. What ever happened to those girls who videotaped beating that girl while two guys watched the door? There was like 4 cameras set up and it was planned and shown all over the internet. Whats happening to those girls?

This may sound extreme but I say hold the parents of these kids responsible as well. At least partially. I say no second chances with these kids. They need to hit them hard and jail time in my opinion is a must plus long term probation. Make them have to start over with their lives and re-teach them the rights and wrongs til they get it.

If I were that girls parents I would be talking to lawyers, media, pressuring the school board to suspend them permanently. I would make so much noise and make the family of the girl's life a living hell.

Anyone notice in the video how none of the student stepped in the break up the fight? I'd take names of kids in the video and call them in one by one and ask why they did not step in. I would make them feel so guilty and order them to seek some sort of counseling in order to stay in school and not be suspended.

The school board needs to grow a pair and send the message out that if your going to do this sort of thing your first offense is your last offense.

I've never been particularly proud of my generation.


On the more comical side, there were a couple of guys from a gltb youth club here standing outside the club's building on Friday night talking, when a bunch of other teens came up, asking, "Are ye the gays, then?"

They replied, "Yes, that a problem?"

The other teens just stood there confrontationally. Then one of the gay lads gave the others and a look and exclaimed; "Quick, let's rape 'em!"

The other teens were last seen running as fast as they could in the opposite direction, surrounded by laughter.

Sometimes, just behaving as if your being gay is normal and natural and just fine is enough to leave cowards speechless. So many of them think it's something to be ashamed of. We should never show them shame. We have nothing to be ashamed of.

And the best is striking them down with humor ala vmlinnie's story.

Sadly, humor won't protect in an act of violence. But, maybe it's a step to a cure for this disease of ignorance and hatred.

I agree with what your saying. But, there is one thing you have to realize about kids that are high school aged. If there is a fight of any kind. Most of them feel that they themselves won't get into trouble if they just stand back and let it be between the kids who are fighting one another. And also amongst high school aged kids is the common thought of why get involved when it doesn't involve me.

They could see the kids fighting and see that and realize that they don't want to get involved so they will let it be between the kids.

I don't think that they are going to expel the kids who beat the student up. Most schools look at how bad a fight was rather then what the fighting was about.
