Just got this message:
"John J. Duran is looking at election results update. looks like Prop 8 did NOT pass in LA County. 50/50 with more ballots to count and hedging towards NO on 8"
SOMETHING to smile about!
With votes still coming in, IS it still possible Prop 8 could fail?
No, the margins are too large, unfortunately.
Well anything to lessen the margin. It's gonna get struck down anyway. It should never have made it to ballot the way it got there.
Too true Jerby.
It will either be overturned by the courts, or by a vote on the next election.

My primary interest is in the suits addressing the tax-exempt status of churches - but I can't find a source to follow that
Q, I don't know whether a lawsuit has been filed on that, or whether it is an internal act by the IRS that deals with the tax-exempt status.
I just found information about the petition.

Thanks, You.
Ya know, you and brd might change my mind about lawyers . . .
Well, it is swimming against the tide, but there are a few decent of us out there!
I want to know if anyone has heard ANYTHING else about the letters that were 'mailed' with the white stuff in them?
I haven't heard a thing.
I smell a hatchet job.
