I have been an AFTRA (now AFTRA-SAG) member in Chicago for 12 years. It seems there are special union-only partnerships that have been included in the new joint AFTRA-SAG monthly magazine that I never caught before, when the memberships were split.
My questions, specifically, are about the blurb in the most recent issue, on the "Member Perks" page on p.72 about a member deal for auto insurance. It mentions "Union Plus Auto Insurance through 21st Century Insurance." I'd never heard of this company. I'd had a bad few years work-wise, and things are turning around, but I could have used this option a few years ago. I've been with State Farm for my car insurance since I could drive (25 years) and it's solid and trustworthy, but I still pay over $75/month for a 13 year old car. So, it's time to make a change.
So--Has any member taken advantage of this partnership; are the costs that much lower; how is the service; what are the limitations or benefits compared to other car insurance companies?
Thanks so much!
