My former partner of 11 years didn't believe in any of that, so no, we didn't wear rings. Though now I think if/when I meet 'him', I'd like to have a ceremony and yes, wear rings.

this may seem strange, but we both felt the most committed when we did our wills.
I recently had to send a copy to my sister, and while reading it, I just got so choked up seeing my partners name as beneficiary......

Neither of us is very fond of jewelry, but tattoos are another story. We have a couple of matching ones, however, we draw the line at getting each others name tattoo'd.

He wears a ring..but it's a family heir-loom...something he was wearing before he met me.

"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

We gave each other promise rings on our two year anniversary. We wear them on the right hand ring finger. We also just got matching tattoos.

I have rings from him as holiday or birthday gifts. We have been together for 18 years. Who needs rings.

Hey, can I make a comment. It is most important that if you are a couple and not married "legally" under your state law and that applies to gay and straight couples, please complete whatever paper work is necessary to give each of you as much rights as possible. Wills, powers of attorney, health care power of attorney, living wills, etc. Consult your attorney or contact Lambda or another similiar organization.
