Ugh. He was like my baseball grandpa on the Mets telecasts. He shall be missed. RIP to a Mets legend.

It's funny. With Spring Training starting, I was just thinking about him the other day marveling that he was still around in his 90's, the last survivor of the great original trio of Mets Announcers with him, Lindsey Nelson and Bob Murphy. He was known for his malapropisms, my favorite being his talking about Teddy Roosevelt leading his Rough Riders up Pork Chop Hill in the Spanish-American War. Another piece of my childhood gone. R.I.P. Ralph.

I remember him from the beginning along with Linsay Nelso and his wild jackets & Bob Murphy

I enjoyed watching Kiner's Korner as a kid. A good run. RIP.
