Sci-fi and horror lost one of its 20th century pioneers yesterday.
Richard Matheson passes
One of my favorite writers of fantasy and sci-fi. His Twilight Zones were among the best on the show. And Somewhere In Time is still one of my favorite romantic films (with a Twilight Zone flavor!).
I also loved his SHOCK short stories. So imaginative.
I got to sit in on a symposium in the early '90s with Matheson and other writers, directors, and actors from the Twilight Zone. I doted on his comments.
RIP, Mr. Matheson.

My life was changed when some beat up used paperbacks of SHOCK!, SCHOCK 2 and SHOCK WAVES fell into my bored little 5th grade hands one day. Marvelous unforgettable twisted little tales that never quite get out of one's head.
RIP Mr. Matheson.
Absolutely love Somewhere in Time. Think the movie is much better than the book, but the book was good.
