Why can't we post responses to that, Rob? I understand that some people might have "tested the waters" but what has been happening here is unacceptable. Some people are blatently allowed to be mean to others. Of course they do it "nicely" and without breaking the "rules", but they are still personal attacks.

Rob is our Wizard and this is his Munchkinland. He doesn't have to allow us to respond on the board-you can always PM him. I for one, have no problem being subservient to the handsome Rob.

And just to make things clear, I have no problem with the deletion of threads that basically consist of hissy fights between posters.

ugh, because i like rob and craig and know full well that i make their lives miserable and they indulge me all the same, i will be serious for one post and one post only.

shesings, if you are offended by something that's been posted here and correspondance with the poster does nothing to alleviate the offense, you should contact the moderators via pm or email. they are not hard to find, nor are they difficult to reach. while they are overworked and underpaid and more often than not underappreciated, they will do their best to see that your online experience at broadwayworld.com is a pleasant one.

however, they must try to balance the needs and desires of a whole community and inevitably there will be some hurt feelings, some posts and threads that some people find offensive will be left up while some that others see nothing wrong with will disappear. it's not an exact science which they practice and managing to please everyone all the time is an impossibility. speaking as one who's been deleted and who has sometimes overstayed his welcome, i would offer that they do manage more often than not to strike a balance that seems to work for the majority of the board. the fact that they even listen to what we have to say is a big ol' leap forward from some boards.

if you have a problem, take it to them. but bear in mind that they get dozens upon dozens of pms a day complaining about what so and so said, or why does this get to stay when mine got deleted. with that in mind, approach them with an open mind and generally you'll at least get a response as to why they've chosen to act in the way they have.

all that said, that has just been my experience as one of the chief troublemakers here. yours may differ and if i misrepresented our intrepid mods, they may feel free to delete this post.

I've had personal attacks against me on the board because of a Wicked stage door story I told. I ended up going back and deleting all my posts because one person in particular was being really nasty. I was new to the board so I didn't know I could report it. I had people telling me I was a shill poster too when I asked for reviews from people who saw All Shook Up. Some people just have nothing better to do... It's sad that people are mean and get away with it though. Ok, enough of me. -Penny

as far as she, she's an a**hole. that's my opinion. it might not be shared, but it's mine. it should be noted that she broached the topic in this thread and used the name that she's now consigned to carry for all eternity.

This is completely unnecessary. All that this thread is doing is providing a forum for papa and shesings to duke it out. If I'm not mistaken, that was not the original topic. Another point, Craig and Rob reminded us that personal attacks were not welcome here. That is exactly what this thread is: one big, long personal attack. Don't be surprised if this thread gets deleted.
