I never realized he and photographer Irving Penn were brothers.

RIP, Mr. Penn. A shame that so many fine people are departing this life this week.

Nice that MIRACLE WORKER and BONNIE AND CLYDE are getting so much attention in the obits for Mr. Penn. I wish his fine film of LITTLE BIG MAN was getting more love.

I loved the weirdness of his Westerns (Little Big Man and The Missouri Breaks). Also Alice's Restaurant and the incredibly soapy The Chase (that had a young Redford, Jane Fonda, and Duvall in addition to Brando and Angie Dickinson) are a guilty pleasure films of mine.
