Child actress Cammie King, who played Bonnie Blue Butler in "Gone With the Wind" has died at the age of 76. She was also the voice of young Faline in the Disney classic "Bambi."
It makes me very sad. We corresponded just last year, and Cammie was a lovely person. I got a chance to tell her that, as a young child, I was pulled so powerfully into "Gone With the Wind" through her, since I was roughly the same age when I first saw the film.

I hadn't realized she was the voice of Faline in BAMBI, that's really something. Roles in two great American classics.

Thats so sad to hear! I read her memoir last summer and, though short, was entertained.
