Anyone see this movie? I thought it was rather interesting because of the unbelievable shift in tone towards the end. It goes from light-hearted and upbeat to bleak and depressing within a finger-snap. I'm not criticizing it for this, but I just think it's really interesting to end a light-comedy with...
(HUGE SPOILER COMING)
...the lead character dying of lung cancer in a rather graphic fashion. I definitely was not expecting that.
Yeah, I agree it was quite shocking... maybe a bit too shocking. I liked the movie. It had some really great parts and a amazing cast, but at times it felt jumbled and a bit too off-kilter.

I really need to see the movie again and see if the comedy was darker than I remembered.
I dunno. It was just an interesting way to end a comedy.
And it's not like it's just one scene. His dying is prolonged for about twenty minutes.
