As many of you know, I am a HUGE Rachelle Ferrell fan.

I finally was able to see her in concert tonight at SOBs in NYC.

All I can say is, why is this girl not famous?!?! Her voice is without a doubt the most remarkable instrument I have ever heard. Her belt voice goes on for days (more than Eden Espinosa), her whistle tone is clear and full (much better than Mariah Carey), and her exploration of colors is unmatched by anyone on the planet.

I laughed and cried at this concert -- and I'm not one to do so.

Just thought I should report back my experience to y'all. I'm on cloud nine!!

That's excellent, Touchme. I have to tell you, Iv'e been listening to her music and I'm becoming a fan. Her ability to belt and keep on going is unbelievable.
I think all the Idina, Shoshana, Julia, Stephanie J. fans ought to listen and be enlightened.

I've loved her voice ever since I heard her rendition of "Til You Come Back To Me"...awesome.
In Fact - I just created a radio station dedicated to her music on Pandora.com - a great way to start the day!

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

Two notables from the concert:

1. The end of the concert, she asked the audience what we wanted to hear, and she just up and did what we wanted. Pretty awesome!

2. In the middle of the opening song, she was going to church, and saw someone videoing the concert. She sang to them, "Are you taking my picture or video taping my show?" Then, without missing a beat, she sang, "Then, what can I have of yours?"

A wonderful sentiment in the day of bootlegs and such.

How many times did she belt higher than Idina?

At least 30.

And, her voice just gets better and better with age -- unlike nearly every belter out there.

And she did so without heaving during breathing.

Well, thanks to the wonders of internet downloading, I've been listening to everything I could find of hers today and she is unbelievable. Her jazz riffing is pants-wettingly great.

Her voice is roughly 6 times better live.

That can't be mathematically correct. re: Rachelle Ferrell concert
