Radiohead just dropped a new album

You must go to some odd brunches. Totally disagree. I think it's absolutely stunning. Their ability to seamlessly meld bold experimentation with an innate sense of melody and pop songcraft has not diminished. And I love that Jonny Greenwood's brilliant work in film and modern classical composition and arrangements have taken center stage on this gorgeous album. There are apparently rumors that they might tour with the London Contemporary Orchestra. To hear this music - not to mention classics like 'How to Disappear Completely' and 'Pyramid Song' with their full orchestrations makes me even more desperate for a ticket to their upcoming tour.



The new video for 'Daydreaming' is directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, btw...

Me too, Q. It's an early favorite. Can't get those haunting strings, echoing the melody Thom hums, outta my head.



Anyone think Burn the Witch is a parable about Matti Purrin?

An interesting and bothersome album. Some moments of real beauty, but this being Radiohead, the beauty is going to get chilly and disturbing before long, and I mean that as a compliment. There's a lot more to listen to and listen for than in their last album, THE KING OF LIMBS. Mr. Greenwood's shivery string arrangements are a real accomplishment here.
