I know Bernie Sanders, I have worked under Bernie Sanders, I consider Bernie Sanders the only true progressive voices in either legislative body. Rand Paul is not a flake of dead skin on Bernie Sanders.

Now, full disclosure, I find drones inhumane and I largely find the legal gray area incredibly uncomfortable. Even if Obama and his administration say it will not ever be used on US soil, keeping this program alive opens it up his predecessors to do so. Now there is a part of me there is no way the US could ever become something straight out of Terminator 2 but hey, this last decade has really surprised me.

Let's not pretend that he or those two pathetic junior Senators in Rubio or Cruz trying to gain bona fides (I mean did you see their speeches on the floor?) are **that** anti-drone or in the other two's cases even anti-drone at all. Rand Paul does not mind drones patrolling US borders. There is still an exceptionalism in his rhetoric. Yemeni, Pakistani, and even you, Mexicans- you are on your own.

Sue, that's cute and all. But you're assuming a) that everyone's as stupid as you hope they are and b) that no one PMs or communicates outside the boards.

Also, that the mods don't know what posts they've deleted.

It's a free country, so do what you want. But my advice is to just stop it.

You worked for Bernie Sanders?! Soooo jealous.
The Obama administration has gone from denying that the drone program exists to defending it in public. It got the discussion on all the news programs and drones were the top story on the HuffPo all day yesterday.
No matter what you think of Paul (and I detest him) this kind of dialouge can't be anything but good for the country.

electoral politics goal post would have to be moved out of the stadium for that to happen.

And Marco Rubio, among the Senators on the floor during the filibuster, decided to vote for John Brennan anyway. I am convinced he just rolled out of bed to quote The Godfather, Jay-Z, and Wiz Khalifa because I sure did not hear about drones.
