MARFA, Texas ? Actor Randy Quaid and his wife have been arrested in West Texas for allegedly skipping out on a $10,000 California hotel bill.

Quaid and his wife, Evi, were taken into custody Thursday afternoon, according to Santa Barbara County sheriff's officials, who said authorities in West Texas informed them of the arrest. A statement from the California agency said it was told by the Presidio County Sheriff's Department that Evi Quaid was restrained after a brief struggle.


Well...I guess if you're on the lam...Marfa, Texas is as good as place as any to hide out.

TMZ has multiple reports on their site...apparently they both resisited arrest. Evi is reported to have 'attacked' one of the officers. Still crazy I guess.

I bet the producers and the cast of Lone Star Love who lost jobs because of the Quaid's antics are getting a kick out of this.

Focus Features and the Brokeback producers are not exactly shedding tears either.

Ultimately this is sad because soon no one will hire him at all for anything because he has a rep for "trouble". She has a rep for bigger trouble.

Let this be a lesson to all you up and coming actors.

Once you're banned from Equity for life...it's a slow...sad...decline.
