Read this news this morning. Such sad news. This guy was a grand master chess player @ 15. I had trouble wrapping my head around geometry at that age! I hope he was able to find some sort of peace at the end of his life.

Last thing I remember him was a couple of years ago at press conference in Rejakvaik (sp?), Iceland shown on ESPN was when sportswriter Jeremy Schaap, the late Dick Schaap's son, addressed him and Fischer started berating and turned his self-hate (Fischer was part-Jewish) onto Jeremy after recognizing through his former close friendship with Dick. Schaap was so disgusted he calmy left.

DD, I listened to Chess all day. I know nothing about his politics. I heard that he played the American on Broadway.
