Remembering Brendan Stryker

The recent death of Barry Nelson has me thinking about death. Thr plant in my living room is dead. Imus' career is dead, and poor Brendan Stryker is as dead as a doornail.

Are there any dead people or things that you miss?

My former married lover. Recently deceased. He was dead in the bedroom, as well.

re: Remembering Brendan Stryker

That's so sad.

I wanted Brendan Stryker to be my lover but then he was kidnapped by illegial immigrants and killed in a car accident that no one can find any evidence of.

Sad. Terribly sad.

If there's no evidence, how do you know?

Because he's dead...and we had a memorial service for him.

Yeah, I vaguely remember that. I've tried blocking it out -- to no avail, apparently.

DEFINATELY time to move on......

re: Remembering Brendan Stryker

It's hard. Brendan was everything to me. Now the mere mention of the word "dead" stirs up wonderful memories.

But Brendan is dead...like Mr. Roxy's love life.

Remember his boyish smile in any one of the hundreds of photos he posted here?

seriously, move on - one would think that your lonely little life revolves around this electronic message board...

re: Remembering Brendan Stryker

I remember my first interaction with him. He corrected me on the proper use of "cast recording" rather than "soundtrack." Good times.

It's okay. Sometimes you just have to keep your head high and say "So long dearie!" to those old woes of the past.

re: Remembering Brendan Stryker

I slept with Brendan Stryker last night. He is alive and... very very well.
Wrong, sir. Wrong! Under section 37B of the contract signed by him, it states quite clearly that all offers shall become null and void if - and you can read it for yourself in this photostatic copy - "I, the undersigned, shall forfeit all rights, privileges, and licenses herein and herein contained," et cetera, et cetera..."Fax mentis incendium gloria cultum," et cetera, et cetera..."Memo bis punitor delicatum"! It's all there, black and white, clear as crystal! You stole fizzy lifting drinks. You bumped into the ceiling which now has to be washed and sterilized, so you get nothing! You lose! Good day sir!

re: Remembering Brendan Stryker

That wasn't Brendan you slept with. It was an imposter.

Brendan is dead. Dead as a doornail--I saw the casket.

Brendan had a way of touching people who never knew about him. It was a rare gift--especially for someone who is dead.,,,dead as Mr. Roxy's brain cells.

I really worry about you DollyPop. Grieving for such a long time isn't a healthy thing to do. Perhaps, I will send Arline to counsel you. She has been a widow since the early 70's. Of course she turned out very well!

I think you should write a play about Brendan........or better yet, A MUSICAL!! And by the way, I think she has been carrying the same NY Times since 1960.

re: Remembering Brendan Stryker

That's a brilliant idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BRENDAN STRYKER: THE MUSICAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eric McCormack would make a perfect Brendan.

Totoe Fields would make a sensational Yenta!!!!!!!!!
