That this Sunday is Mother's Day!

Posted: 5/11/06 at 5:17pmThanks, Mom! I did the Mother's Day hoo-hah with my mom last weekend. I presented her with three paintings I had done for her living room and a big box of the chocolates she loves. The chocolates, of course, were "too expensive" however that didn't stop her from eating 3 of them, declaring that she wasn't sharing a single one and then locking them up in the safe in her closet. Sigh. My mom is so wonderful!!! I hope your Mother's Day is extra special!!

and today is my brothers 60th birthday! Heh........for the first time ever I sent him a card.
I've had to not mention mothers day, as it's the first since my partners mother died.........but I did send my mom a gift.
It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story...

Posted: 5/11/06 at 6:50pmI sent my mother a dozen Yankee Candle votives. It was quite hard to pick out 12 different fragrances since they are all so wonderful. I hope it gets to California by Saturday.

Dolly, my moms favorite were lilies of the valley. They grow naturally were she is buried.
