Well she knew it was Sunday but only because we're having some kind of Mother's Day dinner with the rest of the family.

Thanks, Mom! I did the Mother's Day hoo-hah with my mom last weekend. I presented her with three paintings I had done for her living room and a big box of the chocolates she loves. The chocolates, of course, were "too expensive" however that didn't stop her from eating 3 of them, declaring that she wasn't sharing a single one and then locking them up in the safe in her closet. Sigh. My mom is so wonderful!!! I hope your Mother's Day is extra special!!

I called my 25 year old brother to remind him today and he said, "You're kidding???" Pretty funny. He will never grow up.

and today is my brothers 60th birthday! Heh........for the first time ever I sent him a card.

I've had to not mention mothers day, as it's the first since my partners mother died.........but I did send my mom a gift.

I sent my mother a dozen Yankee Candle votives. It was quite hard to pick out 12 different fragrances since they are all so wonderful. I hope it gets to California by Saturday.

The lilacs in my front yard are in bloom. They were my mother's favorite flowers. I'll put a bouquet of them on her grave on Sunday.

Dolly, my moms favorite were lilies of the valley. They grow naturally were she is buried.
