That evil serpent got it all wrong on to France working class youth living jumbled together in the soulless high-rise apartments. Does she realizes that there not just Arab French (and not all of them are Muslim) live there but Black (both African and from the West Indies), Vietnamese, Laotians, Turks, and whites French (among manyraces, nationalities, and ethnicities), to name several all live in those places too? Not surprisingly, many come with the heritage of areas where France colonized like in Africa and the Caribbean. For the most part many get along well. Also, they don't watch just Al-Jazeera, but MTV France, Canal +, Eurosport, ARTE, ZIK, ARD, Cinecinema, NBATV, CNN, BBC, Playboy TV, MCM, L'Equipe TV, France 24, 3A Telesud, National Geographic France, RTL, TPS, Nickelodeon France, Disney France, French terrestrial TV channels like France TV 2-5, TF1, M6, among other TV channels. Yes, France has a strong and popular social welfare system, but they rioted, incoherently by local gangs, because they are at low end of the social totem pole trying to show people higher than they that they need to be dignified; they feel greatly alienated by mainstream French society in all aspects save for sports and pop music (like rap, which at times serves as their only voice) with no prosperous future for them. They are discriminated against from meaningful good-paying jobs and harassed by the police. There are very few people who look like them in politics to turn too and need a meaningful and lasting outlet. Nor are they politically organized. Sarkozy, then as Ministry of the Interior and Religion, called them "scum" (racaille)--thus not human. When you're repressing and ignore fundamental issues for a longtime, those who are low end, angry, and frustrated will ultimately strike back. When you're in that position, rioting is the last resort--and a class act.

Minnesotans should be deeply ashamed that they allowed her to be one of their representatives from their state. She clearly is one of a number of some Americans who are scared to death of the prospect of this nation becoming more and more diverse in culture, ethnicity, and race, with each passing day. So she backlashes against that. Not all Americans came here voluntarily either and got instant humanity and dignity, Michelle!
