Now those were some uninspiring candidates saying uninspired things.
I am amazed that they don't actually run against Bush's policies at all. Not from a liberal perspective, but to really differentiate that they are running to his right.
"The current economy is failing because the current administration did not cut taxes anywhere near enough or start nearly enough wars! Vote for me and I'll have us invading "Old Europe" where we can plunder and pillage till the cows come home.
Plus, I'll throw all the gays in prison."

How the Sam Hill can anyone even tell where Bush is running? Other than military matters, his administration has been a mish-mash of everything and next to nothing at the same time.
McCain snorted when he laughed the one time. Paul looks and sounds defeated.
Mitten and Huckleberry are the two fastest thinkers on their feet, McCain is slow.
Mitten's gonna get the nod.

If Mitt gets the nod, it will be the lowest turnout in the history of the GOP.
If McCain gets it, he might rally the voters, but the party brass will have to go along with McCain/Feingold and a ot of his reforms that are downright anti-Republican!
McCain has to sweet the primaries in a landslide to beat the party leaders.
Bush's economic policy has been extremely clear:
cut taxes for his buddies
raise spending for "security"
cut taxes for his buddies
hope the war makes the economy better
now throw a tiny bit of money around and hope it helps.
Pat Buchanon (edited from Robertson) just said Romney looked like "the candidate who could beat Hillary Clinton", I know he is nutty, but I really have no idea how he thought this debate shows that. Obviously Romney answered that question, I guess that was enough. Now he is saying why he can win, and it makes even less sense than ever.

Pat Robertson? Or do you mean Pat Buchanan on MSNBC?
Blast it, at least they are both crazy:
I meant Buchanon.
