Hey, will Broadway dim the lights for him? He did after all direct and design the WIZ, a far more bigger accomplishment then Joan Rivers ever did for Broadway!

ETA: TIMBUKTU! when will the lights be dimmed?

I loved reading that obit - sounds like he had a rich, colorful life. Also - perhaps I wasn't an observant child - but I totally thought "Punjab" was played by a Sikh actor.
