My saddest loss was a chinese restaurant in Times Square called Dish of Salt. I am still in mourning.
It was soooooooooooooooo good.
Mary Ann Lum retired. Nothing comes close except Shun Lee but I can't afford to eat there now.

You're such a delight! Hey look, Wicked!
We passed by the Film Center Cafe last night and the sign was down and all the windows were papered over...How long has it been like that? Are they renovating or simply closed?

Marlowe lost their lease, they were bought out by a chain!!
Teatro's pizza is what I miss the most, they were the best. Darn Carmine's for buying the space and expanding.

Danyy Rose has been closed for months. It was gone in March whenI was in last . Marlowes tho thats sad.
The saddest midtown closing in recent memory, to me, was the closing of Red (on 44th between 8th and 9th...right by Dyke's Lumber and around the corner from Straight Hardware...wait, that's a thread in itself!).
Joe Franklins Memory Lane closed but do not think it will be missed by many

I thought that you and THE WIFE frequented Joe Franklin's, Mr. Roxy.

I can't believe how many places have closed in NYC. It's not good.
