Be sure to catch my post about The Drowsy Chaperone tomorrow. I can't wait to compare Georgia Engle's performance in TDC to that of her performance in Nunsense at the Bucks County Playhouse several years ago.
And, you know damned well that it is all about me!

I would have laughed. But you are probably right.
#5re: Review Threads

Georgia is pointless in TDC.
Adorable..but pointless.

I only generally post reviews of shows when they are in previews - usually early in previews. I do it because I like to, and people want to hear about the show as soon as it begins. There are times when I'm able to see a show until well after opening, and I count on the review threads to get some idea of how the show is shaping up. That's all. I appreciate them.
However, HAIRSPRAY x 56 and WICKED 4/22/06 really are unnecesssary.

i'm not against review threads. i enjoy hearing other people's thoughts and like the discussion that ensues but it seems counterproductive to start a new review thread for a show if one already exists.**
**unless, of course, if someone important like donald trump does not like the show...

Did we really expect Donald Trump to be a theatre buff?
Once he figured that it's Paul who goes shirtless and not Julia...what was the point?

Well, at this point, do we need any more THREE DAYS OF RAIN or BAREFOOT IN THE PARK reviews anyway?
I hate long threads. I avoid them like the plague. I like each new review having it's own thread - I detest having to scroll through page upon page to find something. That's why all the threads that are 16 pages long are just irritating to look through, so I avoid them.

Posted: 5/4/06 at 9:53amSo, just checking, should I post my review of the review thread or not???

yes, kv, but please start a new thread. cheers!
and, munk, i think we could use more rain and barefoot reviews if people have something to say, sure.

Posted: 5/4/06 at 9:56amOf course, if people have something to say. But a thread saying the same thing that's already been said 4512 times is just pointless. Put it in your blog, don't post it.
