He was in Jordan as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador to help improve Arab-American ties. Even though I think this is a great idea, I can't help but be jaded and suspect this is somehow a publicity stunt to keep him in the media. Any thoughts? Both amNew York and Metro had a piece about this today
I think his intentions are genuine. Someone seeking PR for their "good deeds" would be making the media rounds prior to their mission.
Maybe -- but if anything, it was probably UNICEF who approached him, not the other way around.
Besides, why would Ricky Martin need more publicity? He may no longer be the "it" boy in the U.S., but he's still immensely popular internationally.

do you think angelina jolie only does her amnesty stuff for publicity? then why would we believe that about ricky martin? i'm sure it's genuine.
Martin has always been associated with charities for children. I don't think this was necessarily a one off.
Does Ricky Martin need publicity? Just because his last album wasn't a hit on the English-speaking charts, it's a big world out there, and it was a mega-hit on the Spanish language charts. Ricky Martin hardly needs to do something like that to get publicity.
Sounds good--like I said, I may be jaded and suspicious, I was just wondering.
He does, however, look a little silly with the scarf....and grey!
I haven't seen it, but I can't imagine Ricky Martin ever looking anything but hot!
damn..I thought this was about Ricky Martin and Michael Jordan.

Magruder I'm gonna knock your teeth in biotch. How F*CKin' dare you.
Ricky Martin is genuine in his efforts. He's traveled around the world for different causes. Not many people know this but he's a great humanitarian.
