Saw the play 10 times on Broadway.
Saw it again in Dublin.

I only saw the play once, on Broadway. (As I remember it I saw Vanessa Redgrave, Maggie Smith and Margaret Tzychek in the same week).
How fantastic must it have been to see SV in Dublin.
Did Pauline play it there first?

She was amazing.
She wrote a book which you should get your hands on called Letter to Louise. Don't know if it's still in print.
The funny part of it all is that when the movie came out, of course I hadn't seen her for quite a while, and as soon as the opening shot came up - the one of the camera following her walking home with the groceries - I burst into tears. I'm sure everyone in the theater thought I was insane.

It's a wonderful and compelling book - she is telling her first child the story of having to give her up at birth.
