RoadTrip-San Diego

anyone interested in a short road-trip to San Diego (or those of you living there a hop, skip, and a jump) for lunch and to see the La Jolla Playhouse production of The Wiz.....playing the last week of Sep, all Oct, and first week of Nov?
I'd be up for a Saturday or Sunday.

re: RoadTrip-San Diego

Elph,

If I were West Coast, I'd do it!

I used to live in San Diego and have fond memories.

My dear dear nephew is there now.

Hmmmm - it is about the same distance to SD as Temecula ...

re: RoadTrip-San Diego

I'm already here - but, I'd love to meet some West Coast Bwwers. Let me know when and if you all make it down.

ps. word on the street (or from the rehearsal room - from a friend in the show) is that The Wiz is probably extending through mid-Dec. Not really a surprise. Can't wait to see it! It sounds pretty extravagant and fun.

Deborah, it's about another 30-40 minutes

Windy, if you were there, I probably would not watch the Wiz, as I'd be staring at your gorgeous mug.

Otis, where the heck were you last weekend for Erica's movie in Temecula, hmmmm? (Ericak, Deborah and I had a ball!)

Day, given the choice of you coming to this or the picnic(or whatever we do) you better damn well come to the picnic!

Liotte, if I were rich, I'd fly you out.

Nom, I lived there from (EEK) 76-84 and loved it, and wish I'd bought property then!

And may I add I am having a REALLY crappy day!

I'd go if I was on the west coast.
Thanks for the info, though.

re: RoadTrip-San Diego

I wanted to go to the movie. Erika and I (we've never met - hi, Erika) have a lot of friends in common, I think. But I was in callbacks for (the west coast less starry scaled down version of...) "The Grinch" all day long.

Hey Windy, say hello while you're here.

ah, well that would take precedence. How did it go?

Great! Gonna be fun this year - almost an entirely new cast. James Barbour is rumored to be playing the Grinch.

I am sure we'll come down for that....is it at that horrid theater that I hate?

I'm not sure which one you're not fond of - it's at the Globe.
