Actually...and I'm digging back into my memory from 2005/2006, but they're probably referring to the Lestat SF previews outselling the Wicked out-of-town previews.

And, well, there were two Tony nominations. One for Carolee Carmello and, again going on my memory, I think the other was for costumes.

As for a movie with Robert Downey, Jr..."The Vampire Lestat" is my favorite of the Rice novels and I do like Robert Downey, Jr. Loved him as Chaplin and liked him a lot in "Iron Man," the sort of movie I wouldn't have watched if my partner hadn't rented it. But the two just don't click together for me.

She clarified in comments and said that was indeed what she meant -- but her writing is still a mess!

I have only seen the movies, but are the books good enough to invest time into?

The books are amazing. I read INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE and literally could not put it down. I read that book pretty fast. Only other book I read was VAMPIRE LESTAT. Both were very good.Neil Jordan did a great job and I was wondering who they would get to direct.Alfonso Cuaron would be an excellent choice,in my opinion.
