I just got cast in Rocky Horror (it looks like I'm a Transylvanian), and since it's supposed to spoof all the B sci-fi/horror movies, I was wondering if people could recommend some to watch. Thanks!

i would recommend that you watch rocky horror.

If you REALLY want to do research, other than going to a performance of Rocky Horror either in a theater or a staged screening (DO NOT watch Rocky alone for the first time!). You could try:
The Day the Earth Stood Still
Flash Gordon
The Invisible Man
King Kong
It Came form Outer Space
Doctor X
Forbidden Planet
Tarantula
The Day of the Triffids
Night of the Demon
When Worlds Collide

But that just covers the opening song.

Honestly, if you haven't seen the film and you're cast in the show, while I do agree that seeing it in a theatre is essential, it might help to see it at home first. Especially if you are easily overwhelmed by crowds.

I have in fact seen Rocky Horror. I saw it in high school and watched it again before the audition.

I've been taking everyone's advice and have added a ton of bad sci-fi movies to my Netflix cue. Watched The Day The Earth Stood Still the other night. Great movie.
