Amazing blog entry here

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

Roger Ebert for President!

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Our whole modern civilization is based on oil. Everything in our lives, right down to the food we eat, the fertilizer we use on our crops is reliant on oil. Big Oil owns our Government and I would venture to guess every Government in the modern world. The recent BP disaster proves it.
If we don't develop alternative fuels quickly our collective asses are going to be grass once we reach Peak Oil.

Obama should do something about it. After being interviewed on The View, maybe Roger Ebert should interview Obama.

Goth your expected random swipe at Obama is duly noted, but would you like to respond to any of Ebert's points?

Or are you just here to practice your typing?

I'd certainly vote for Roger Ebert for President after reading that blog entry.

"but would you like to respond to any of Ebert's points?"

I can't respond to incoherent rambling. Is the article about BP, is it about WalMart, is it about union organizing, is it about minimum wage, is it about evil Republicans? I can't make any sense out of the article.

The more interesting question that Ebert should be pounding hard is why are journalists not able to get near the site to take pictures?

The big themes elude Goth.

If you don't know what he was talking about, goth, how do you know Obama should do something about it?

I think Goth not knowing what Ebert was talking about pretty much tells us all we ever need to know about Goth.

It was a pretty straight forward op-ed piece. How could you miss the point?

It was about a tree that fell in a Wal-Mart parking lot and how BP refused to let the unions photograph the oil.

....but the world goes 'round

Ebert's slipping in his dotage. No mention of what a quitter/bad mother/Satan lover Sarah Palin is.

This is how Republicans argue: change the subject.

"After being interviewed on The View, maybe Roger Ebert should interview Obama."

Ebert's being interviewed on The View? I think you're a little confused, Goth. It's Obama that's on The View. Ebert is no longer able to speak or even eat.

So...who is it again that's rambling incoherently and slipping in their dotage?

Goth...you can't figure out this op-ed piece? Should we get The Little Golden Book of Grown Up Writing for you?

If Roger Ebert had been President of the United States during the last two terms, something tells me that Goth's reading comprehension level would be just as high as ours. Instead, (s)he is at the Don't-Ask-A-Child-To-Stay-Behind-Just-Tell-Them-We-Found-WMDs level where you don't question that a cow can jump over the moon.
