For those that may be interested, I am giving my thoughts on RuPaul Las Vegas Live, which I attended on Thursday, August 26.  Keep in mind, although a fan, most of you, who post on the RuPaul threads are bigger fans than I am.  And may find the show more memorable.  The night started out really good when I got upgrade from front row balcony to third row.  The show, was primarily sold out with a few single seats, here and there.  The queens made their entrance, and you could tell who were more fan favorites than others.  The standout to me, was Vanjee, who is just stunning in person.  She was obviously the most popular.  I can't believe how far she has gotten from that very first show.  Maybe all along she was this talented, but the audience didn't know, because of her early elimination.  My next favorite was Derrick Berry, also stunning, in person.  But not really a fan favorite in comparison to the others.  Naomi, also quite beautiful in person, but didn't have alot to do in the show, but strut.  Kameron Michaels was also quite popular with this audience, but I found her in person, with more "manly" features.  Her body doesn't seem as muscular.  Her face, not as feminine in person.  Asa, who served as the host, was at times, entertaining.  But after a while the shtick was tiresome.  Our last queen was Kahandra Montrese.  Beautiful in person with a blond wig (changed to darker wig later) but didn't have alot to do in the show.  Throughout, I couldn't  remember who was missing.  It wasn't until the nest day, I saw a billboard.  It was Yvie, one of my favorites.  I don't know if she is still in the show, and only out that night.  Or she has left the show completely.  Realizing later it was Yvie missing, I was disappointed.  For the show itself, it had it's entertaining moments.  However, there was alot of time wasted on audience participation.  I would have rather have had more numbers with the queens.   I would say out of the 90 minute show, at least 30 minutes were spent on filler.  For that reason, the show just "dragged" for me.  All in all, I had a good time.  But I think being on the third row added to that.  I'm not sure what my opinion would be had i remained in the balcony.
