Ruined Suprises!

So... story time! Anyone had any good stories of amaazing suprises being given away or ruined?

[btw this is way off topic and has nothing to do with theater!]

I need to vent:

I've been totally excited all summer about taking my mom to a Josh Groban concert tommorrow [her Birthday!] 2 hours away on a little trip. I had it perfectly planned out, was going to wrap the tickets in a giant box, have JG music playing all day, etc.

but NAY!

Tonight I pulled my dad aside and asked him to make sure my mom's schedule was clear... make up a party or something so she wouldn't plan anything... I also made him swear on his life that he would keep it a secret and not tell anyone and just quietly find out all the info I needed...

SOOOO! He called me in his room just moments ago and started asking me about the tickets RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY MOM!

I gave him death glares and he saw NOTHING. He was finally like, "Oh I already asked mom if she'd go with you, told her you had tickets, and she said that'd be fine." Amazing suprise... RUINED!

AAAAH!!!!!

I almost killed the man.

He doesn't understand why I'm mad at him... ?!?!?!?!

Aww, I'm sory to hear that...

But on the bright side, it probably lengthened her excitement!
