Sometimes I pretend my pillow is the good Sam Harris and I hug him/it and tell him/it my secrets.
Which one is the good and witch one is the bad? Actually I will take the smart one as a "front" pillow. And the singer as a "rear" pillow. It just seems to me that is how they probably function best.

Yum. But the other one serves his purpose.

Yes Dame, the "other" one (talented singer), serves my purpose, and anyone elses, who wants to hear a great singing voice. Nothing against the writer Sam, Phyllis. I don't know him very well.

He is a little to self aware for my taste. (the singer)

You, you better say the singer. Talk about MY Sam like that and you'll be very sorry.

Dame, please go to samtube.com, not to go to see his performances, but to watch his asksam vlogs and such. I only ask because if you watch, you will see that he has a great heart and is very caring and thoughtful. Of course he has to have SOME ego. I think all performers do a little bit, but Sam has a very special something, as a person. Really, he does.
I'll let my Sam speak for himself...he needs no defending.

I saw Sam the Singer (who is also one of my favorites) touring in Joseph and the ATD. Loved Close Every Door. (I've also seen Donny Osmond in the chicago version and Jon Secada). Prefer Sam.
Broadwaytourist, I envy you! I would love to have seen Sam as Joseph! Speaking strictly about his musical talents he's amazing. There are few voices out there today with the power to move the listener to such emotional responses.

A little to prissy for me. I like my men.. MEN. The good Sam Harris will do.
The only reason this thread has gone on for 6 pages is that it's really two, two, TWO threads in one.
The clip of Sam, the singer, singing Rainbow on SS is one of my enduring childhood memories. Thanks for posting it. Tingles down the spine.
I remember buying and wearing out his album, Sam I Am, and watching the video of "Sugar Don't Bite" over and over again on our local station's version of MTV. Sigh...happy memories.
I met him briefly after "the Life" (my friend's former roommate was one of "the girls") and he was so kind and sweet and down to earth.
Viva la Sam.
Awww... I just found the video. Memories!

Thanks rainyjane. All of Sam's vlogs are great. If anyone wants to get to know singer sam on a more personal level, watch these vlogs (click Rainyjane's last link). He is witty and wonderful!
All of this shilling for this performer makes me queasy and makes me never want to see or hear him again.
