First DeLay, now Frist. Next Rove, Libby--and Cheney!
This is all too sweet, too sweet... The entire Republican party is under investigation!
Snippet from Thursday's WaPo:
---
"It seems that for years, Frist may have misled his constituents and the American people about his health care industry stock holdings and the conflict of interest they created as he drafted our nation's health care policy," said Democratic National Committee Communications Director Karen Finney. "This deal raises even more questions about the Republican culture of corruption in Washington, D.C."
During his decade in the Senate, Frist has been active in shaping health care policy, including creation of a Medicare prescription drug benefit.
Republican ethics lawyer Jan W. Baran also scored Frist for his handling of his trusts. "This shows Senator Frist's capacity for clumsiness and bad timing," Baran said. "He was trying to insulate himself from political charges and now finds himself trying to defend himself because of the transparency of his holdings."
SEC Issues Subpoena To Frist, Sources Say
Please let me live to see the day that they are all sitting in jail!!!
I would love to see it. I still doubt it will happen though.
Stop saying that, SmartPenguin!
You have to be positive! Look how far we've come so far!
I want to be positive, PJ, I really want to be positive.
The last four election cycles have ripped so much positivity out of me, I am afraid there is very little left.
Now if we pick up some house and senate seats next year (and I will fight tooth and nail to do just that) maybe my optimism will return. (Or if I get to see Rove hauled off, like in that picture, I can get six months of positivity from that.)

Surprise, surprise, and
no corruption like the health care insurance industry.
That is sick.
This was such a nice thing to see after coming home to atone for some of my sins!

Oh, Doctor "You Can Get AIDS Through Tears" is in trouble? Color me unsympathetic.
Maybe Bush will just quit. His past record shows when the going gets tough....he usually quits. So maybe he'll just pack up and leave. As long as he takes Cheney with him.
(moves dining room chairs in next room to make more space for morning twirl)
A morning twirl sounds good right about now! And Plame was back in court testifying!
This wouldn't be so tasty if they didn't posit themselves as paragons of righteousness and morality--of course, there are just as many Dems that are corrupt, but you don't see them having church rallies and imposing Jesus on the rest of us...
